Why it's important
to learn Self-Hypnosis

Self-hypnosis is a technique where you guide yourself into a trance-like state of deep relaxation and focused attention. In this state, your subconscious mind becomes more receptive to positive suggestions, allowing you to improve habits, reduce stress, enhance performance, or manage pain.
It typically involves:
  1. Relaxation – Calming your mind and body through deep breathing or progressive muscle relaxation.
  2. Focus – Using visualization, affirmations, or repeated phrases to direct your mind toward a goal.
  3. Trance and transformative suggestions – Implanting positive thoughts or behavioural changes while in the hypnotic state.
  4. Exit – Bringing yourself back to full awareness with a sense of refreshment and clarity.
People use self-hypnosis for various purposes, such as overcoming anxiety, improving sleep, boosting confidence, or breaking bad habits. It’s similar to meditation but with a more specific goal. Would you like to learn how to do it? Book a session with me

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses hypnosis to help individuals make positive changes in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. A trained hypnotherapist guides the person into a deeply relaxed, focused state (a hypnotic trance), where the subconscious mind becomes more open to suggestions.

How Hypnotherapy Works:

  1. Induction – The therapist helps the client enter a state of deep relaxation and heightened focus.
  2. Trance state and therapeutic suggestions – While in hypnosis, the therapist provides positive suggestions or guided imagery to address specific issues.
  3. Exploration – Sometimes, the therapist may help the client uncover subconscious memories or emotions related to their problem.
  4. Closure – The therapist gradually brings the client back to full awareness, often leaving them feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Your Questions

1Is hypnosis safe?
Yes, it is very sabe if it is done by a professional. Tv programmes put hypnosis as a way of loosing your WILL and be able to do things against your Will. This is just in the films! You will never act against your thoughts and principles , but it is true that you might remove inhibitions and become more assertive
2Is self-hypnosis safe?
Yes, It is very safe if you learn this powerful tool correctly. Always make sure that you give to yourself the right suggestions and the type of trance you want to achieve
3How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions depends on the individual and personal circumstances, but for instance hypnoweight I recomend to start with 4 sessions. Non-smoking with 2 sessions is usually enough
4What is Neurolinguistic programming?
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a psychological approach that explores the connection between neurological processes (neuro), language (linguistic), and behavioral patterns learned through experience (programming). It was developed in the 1970s by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, who believed that by analyzing and modeling successful people's thought processes and behaviours, others could replicate their success.
5What is Performance Coaching?
Unlike traditional mentoring or training, performance coaching is goal-oriented and action-focused, emphasizing measurable results. It can be applied in professional settings (e.g., improving leadership skills, increasing sales performance) or personal contexts (e.g., enhancing fitness levels, boosting creative output).
6 Is hypnosis the same as visualisation?
No, hypnosis is an alter state of the brain, and visualisation is imagining with pictures in our minds about places, situations, and people.
7Can I have biofeedback during a hypnotic state?
yes, Biofeedback: is a technique that uses mental tools to provide information about physiological processes (like heart rate, breathing, muscle activity) to help individuals learn to consciously control those processes. The goal is to gain greater awareness of bodily functions and to potentially manipulate them to improve health or reduce stress.
